-
What are your credentials?
I am a board licensed physical therapist in Maryland and Pennsylvania with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT). I have completed several courses to earn a Pregnancy/Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist certification. I am also a certified yoga teacher (CYT)!
-
What experience do you have?
I have extensive experience working in acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, and outpatient orthopedics. I have worked with patients of all ages and differing diagnoses, ranging from stroke and other neurological pathologies to musculoskeletal pain and pelvic floor dysfunction.
-
Do I need a referral to start Physical Therapy?
No. Pennsylvania is a Direct Access State and we have Direct Access privileges, meaning you can be evaluated and treated for 30 days before needing a referral.
-
What conditions do you treat?
I treat musculoskeletal conditions such as hip and back pain, pelvic floor pain and dysfunction, urinary or fecal incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse pudendal neuralgia, pelvic girdle pain syndrome, pubic symphysis dysfunction, painful sex, and many more. Please contact if you have any questions!
-
Can I come to you only for physical therapy?
No. Personal training, group movement classes, birth preparation, and postpartum care are all ways I can support you!
-
Why don't you accept insurance?
Being tied to a third payer party such as an insurance company hinders my ability to provide 1:1 care. The traditional paradigm of healthcare forces providers to take on more patients in order to stay in business. Opting out of this system allows me to maintain 1:1 care that does not compromise your wellbeing and safety. That being said, we are considered out-of-network for commercial insurances so you may be able to be reimbursed for PT services. Please note at this time, due to CMS regulations clients with Medicare/Medicaid are unable to be accepted.
